JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (25-12, 9-2 ASUN) fought through 10 innings in the first game, followed with a shutout performance in game two, to complete the sweep against Kennesaw State (10-28, 2-9 ASUN) on Saturday afternoon at UNF Softball Complex.
The Ospreys battled through extra innings in a 2-2 game, but walked it off in the bottom of the 10th off a
Hadlee Reichert sac-fly for its fifth walk-off win of the season. UNF turned around with
Halle Arends spinning a complete-game shutout out against the Owls.
Allison Benning was a superstar once again for the Ospreys with a complete-game shutout as well in the first doubleheader game. She tied the D-I program record for most strikeouts in a single game, while smashing a two-run homer in the second game to help UNF to its Saturday sweep.
