DeLAND, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis (8-8) won their sixth straight match, as they stayed undefeated (4-0) in Atlantic Sun play with a 5-2 victory over the Stetson Hatters (14-4) on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys won the doubles point, which they have done successfully all season long with the Ospreys claiming 13 of 16 matches this year, as well as in all four conference matches. It took all three matches, as it started on line one with ITA No. 43
Jonas Hartenstein and
Rodrigo Crespo doing what they normally do with a 6-2 win. Finishing as the last court was the team of
Juan Pablo Cenoz and
PJ Kotan winning their match in a 7-6 tiebreak and securing the point.
UNF took a 2-1 lead with
Andreas Scott winning his match in straight sets, followed with
Breno Marques pushing the lead to 3-1 with another victory in straight sets. Crespo on court two won a three-set thriller and Hartenstein capped off their impressive road victory on court one with another three-set win.
The Ospreys stay on the road, as they will head to the Bluegrass State to take on Bellarmine on Friday, Apr. 5, at 3:30 p.m., in Louisville, Ky.
