LOUISVILLE, Ky. - North Florida men's tennis (9-8) grabbed its seventh straight win, as they took down Bellarmine (7-11), 5-2, on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys dropped the doubles point, as they had notched the point in all four conference matches up until this weekend. The lone court from doubles that gave the Ospreys' life was
Breno Marques and
Andreas Scott, who picked up their 12th victory on the year.
UNF turned the tide in a big way come singles, as they won five of the six singles courts on the day. Tying up the score for the Ospreys was
Juan Pablo Cenoz, who won his match in straight sets to tie the match at one a piece.
Shortly after for the Ospreys,
Rodrigo Crespo extended his winning streak to six, while also staying undefeated in conference play (5-0) in his straight set win. After Crespo was
Jonas Hartenstein using all three sets to take down his opponent to put UNF up, 3-1.
Sealing the deal was Scott in straight sets to secure the victory. As the rest of the matches were being played out, UNF picked up one more point by way of Marques in a three-set winner.
The Ospreys stay on the road to take on Austin Peay on Sunday, Apr. 7, at 4 p.m., in Clarksville, Tenn.
