CHARLOTTE, N.C. - North Florida softball (23-9, 7-1) suffered its first loss in conference play this season, but bounced back quickly with a run-ruled victory in a pair of doubleheader games against Queens (N.C.) (14-16, 1-7) on Saturday afternoon.
Sitting with a 6-0 ASUN record going into the early weekend, the Ospreys faltered for the first time against Queens, as they couldn't generate enough offense to catch up late in the game to the Royals. UNF came out firing on all cylinders in the second doubleheader game with five home runs, including two from
Allison Benning, in a five-inning mercy rule.
