Box Score JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis (4-8) opened up Atlantic Sun play with a dominate 6-1 victory over No. 73 Kennesaw State (7-4) on Sunday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex.
The Ospreys unsurprisingly won the doubles point again, as they continue to do all season long. The impressive record sits at 10 of the 12 matches and all six home matches this season.
A red-hot ITA No. 52 duo of
Jonas Hartenstein and
Rodrigo Crespo won their ninth straight doubles match, which is their longest streak as a duo. The doubles point was then wrapped up later on line three by
Breno Marques and
Andreas Scott. The win is the fourth straight for the pairing and their ninth of the season.
The Ospreys took that positive roll into singles play, as they were able to win their first two singles matches with ease and take a commanding 3-0 lead. UNF would eventually take a monumental 6-0 lead behind Hartenstein, Crespo, and Scott all bringing home wins in that order.
UNF will look to go 2-for-2 in conference play, as the homestead continues against Jacksonville State on Wednesday, Mar. 20, at 2 p.m.
