Women's Tennis Falters To USF in First Road Loss of Season

Annabelle Davis and Amy Kaplan Improves to 3-1 in Doubles Play

TAMPA, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis (3-2) fell for the first time on the road to South Florida (2-2), 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.

The Ospreys started strong in doubles play, as they gained two victories over the Bulls to give them the 1-0 lead. Annabelle Davis and Amy Kaplan won their doubles set, 6-3, followed by Alisa Lyshko and Jasmin Makela winning their set, 6-2. 

With Davis scratched for singles play, the Ospreys put up a battle against USF's top players, but was left winless in singles play with only one singles match going to three sets.

Next up on the slate for the Ospreys will be a match back at home against FIU on Friday, Feb. 16, at UNF Tennis Complex.
