JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis (3-3) fell to the FIU Panthers (4-2) on Friday afternoon. The Panthers used the momentum gained in doubles play to surge in their singles matches for the 4-0 victory.
With a clinching scenario in place on court four, courts one, three, and six were all left unfinished. Competing against a strong FIU team that ended their 2023 season No. 37 in the nation, the Ospreys fell behind early which carried over to singles play.
Kendall Nash put up a nice string of points in her second set in singles play. She would end the second set leading 6-5 before play was stopped as the Panthers led the Ospreys, 4-0, clinching the win for FIU.
Next up for the Ospreys, they will continue their homestead on Monday, Feb, 19, at 10 a.m., against Charleston Southern at UNF Tennis Complex.
