JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis (2-5) picked up a much-needed victory in their return home, as they defeated Radford (0-5), 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
The Ospreys won the doubles point again, by way of winning on all three doubles courts. This is nothing new to this UNF team, as they have won the doubles point in six of seven matches so far this season.
UNF's lineup was altered Saturday afternoon due to the absence of senior
Jonas Hartenstein, but the rest of the team held their own in route to the victory. This started at the top of the lineup with
Rodrigo Crespo sliding into the one spot for singles, where he won in convincing fashion (6-2, 6-2) in straight sets.
The senior was one of the many impressive performances against Radford, as all four of the Ospreys' singles points came by way of straight sets.
The Ospreys hit the road to play FAU next Friday morning at 11 a.m., before returning home to take on Mercer at UNF Tennis Complex on Sunday at 12 p.m., to close out the week.
