Back-to-Back Seasons with Five or More Honorees
GREENWOOD, Ind. - North Florida men's soccer notched another year of five selections to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the national organization on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
Rentaro Miyakawa, Braden Masker, Tyler Prebenda, Jaxon Reinhardt and Angus Taylor were all recognized with CSC Academic All-District distinctions. This gives the Ospreys back-to-back seasons with at least five academic selections with 10 unique players receiving those honors over the past two years.
The five Osprey players qualified for the academic award by being at least a sophomore with a 3.50 GPA or better, as well as playing 90% or starting 66% of all regular season matches. Miyakawa adds on to his postseason accolades after being selected to the Second Team All-ASUN earlier this month, while Prebenda also brings in another distinction after being picked to the ASUN All-Tournament Team this past Saturday.
The 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's finest student-athletes on and off the field. Honorees advance to the All-American round, with CSC Academic All-America Team selections released on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
