Men's Tennis Begins Week at ITA Southeast Regionals

Lorenzo Messina Earns Three-Set Win in Singles

ATHENS, Ga. - North Florida men's tennis started its appearance with its first day of play at the ITA Southeast Regionals hosted by Georgia on Wednesday afternoon.

Lorenzo Messina, Jean Deloziere and Bruno Vietri all competed during day one at regionals, as Messina clinched a three-set comeback win over Maximo Oberto from Miami.

Messina also joined Vietri as a doubles pair against FAU, while Messina and Deloziere each played a pair of matches against Power Four opponents.

North Florida continues its week with the next round of matches at the ITA Southeast Regionals hosted by Georgia on Thursday, Oct. 17. The freshman pair of Messina and Deloziere will continue singles play in the consolation bracket of the qualifying draw, while Vietri will make his singles debut in the main draw.
