Antar Named ASUN Setter of the Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Redshirt-junior Annie Antar was named Atlantic Sun Setter of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday, Oct. 15. It's the second-career honor for Antar after taking home the recognition last season.

"Annie had outstanding performances this weekend, propelling us to hit historic numbers," head coach Kristen Wright said. She's starting to hit her stride and she is the anchor to our squad. Annie understands how to break down each team and the chess match of making adjustments to help bring our offense to the top of the league. Annie is a threat on offense in our league as well, which makes her unique."

Antar helped North Florida to consecutive road sweeps as the Ospreys dominated Queens and West Georgia last weekend.

The Klein, Texas, native posted 12.50 assists/set, totaling 75 assists and 17 digs. UNF hit .457 as a team with the help of her play during the 3-0 rout of West Georgia.

Antar currently sits in the top ten in UNF history for assists after breaking into the 2,000-assists club earlier this year.

North Florida starts a three-match home stand Friday against Lipscomb.
