Initiative to Fundraise for the Student-Athlete Study Hall Space
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Athletics announces its initiative for the 904 Weekend Fundraising effort, the annual fundraising initiative intended to raise money for the student-athlete experience. This year, UNF Athletics is working to raise money to elevate the student-athlete study hall and student lounge areas.
904 Weekend will take place Sept. 1-4, with donations eligible during that time. This year's goal is set at 300 donors, with an emphasis on donations of $9.04. All donations go towards supporting the academic success of the student-athletes.

Now is the time to come together to support the investment being made into the student-athlete academic experience. Help ELEVATE and ENHANCE the space our student-athletes use to produce extraordinary academic success. Our study hall and student lounge areas need to match the incredible effort, work and success our student-athletes achieve in the classroom. This is an investment in all of our student-athletes as we look to improve their environment outside of the playing field.

UNF Athletics is excited for our 335 student-athletes to SOAR this year because of your support. We have 106 NEW student-athletes joining the Nest this semester, and we are just getting started. Thank you and SWOOP!
More on "904 Weekend"
The "904 Weekend" campaign will run through a crowdfunding site providing the opportunity for gifts of various amounts along with the ability to allow for matching gifts. Last year, UNF Athletics set a record with $53, 110 raised with the help of 192 donors. The funds were used towards nutritional services, counseling and support.
The inaugural 904 Day was back in 2020, with each year seeing increased fundraising success.
The area code 904 covers a five-county region of Northeast Florida, including the counties of Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Nassau and Baker, and is the home for more than 50,000 UNF alumni.
More information pertaining to the "904 Weekend" campaign will be shared in the upcoming days through a variety of communication platforms.
