Looking Back on UNF Women’s Tennis’ 10th ASUN Tourney Title Year
Below are some of those moments and more in a season that saw more team and individual records set.Â
A Second One for the Thumb
UNF became the first ASUN women's tennis program in conference history to reach double-digit conference titles, winning its 10th since 2010 after defeating Stetson, 4-2, in the finals at home April 22.Â
The Ospreys defeated Central Arkansas in the quarterfinals, swept Liberty in the semis and then took care of defending-champions, Stetson, in the finals to earn their seventh title in eight campaigns.Â
North Florida went 7-1 in league play, making it the 12th-straight year in which the Ospreys had just one loss in league play or less. As a result, North Florida also took home its seventh league-regular season crown, doing so in outright fashion.

ASUN Record Book Rewriters
The Ospreys overwhelmed the ASUN postseason honors charts, taking home a combined ten all-conference honors, including four of the five available ASUN superlative awards.
- ASUN Player of the Year - Kit Gulihur
- ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year - Kit Gulihur
- ASUN Doubles Pair of the Year - Kit Gulihur & Ana Paula Melilo
- ASUN Coach of the Year - Catherine Dunagan
UNF also paced the conference in total all-conference honors, with Gulihur, Annabelle Davis, Isabel Oliveira and Jasmin Makela adding either all-conference or all-freshman recognition. With 2023's honors, the Ospreys upped their all-time ASUN All-Conference totals to a league record 49. The next closest in line is Stetson at 33.Â
Weekly honors also came in for UNF with Gulihur tallying three more, reaching eight over the past three seasons, good for a conference record.Â
North Florida also set a program record with three ASUN All-Academic honorees in the same season. Kendall Nash, Megan Forster and Gulihur all took home honors to set the record. Those weren't the only all-academic awards earned as Nash, Forster, Gulihur and Melilo were all recognized with College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition.

Â
Gulihur took home season-ending rankings, coming in at No. 86 in the ITA Singles Rankings. The UNF legend would appear in nine ITA Singles polls, while receiving six ITA Doubles Rankings with Melilo.Â
