JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (24-20-1, 7-10-1 ASUN) completed its first conference sweep of the season with a 3-0 shutout victory against Bellarmine (4-38, 1-17 ASUN) Sunday afternoon.
The Ospreys held the Bellarmine to three hits or less in all three games and eight hits combined over the course of the weekend. They also held an ASUN team scoreless over a series for the first time since sweeping Stetson on the road in 2019.
Skyler Stockie started the fourth game of the season, but
Halle Arends pitched the last five innings with seven total strikeouts to receive her first win on the year. The offense made early noise as well with
Shannon Glover blasting her ninth home run this season in the first inning.

Behind the Line Score
- Glover got the scoring early once again with a solo shot over the left field fence to take a 1-0 lead.
- After allowing a single to the first batter, Stockie retired six straight through two innings of work.
- Kelsey Vogel made an early impact as the designated player with an RBI shot to center field to drive in another run.
- A change in the circle was made in the third with Arends working through trouble to keep it a two-run game.
- A sac-fly from Abi Annett scored Hadlee Reichert to gives the Ospreys at least one run in the first three innings.
- Arends puts together a clean fourth, as she punched out back-to-back Knights swinging.
- After another 1-2-3 inning in the fifth, Arends put two on with no outs, but struck out the side to get through the sixth with the bases loaded.
- One final shout inning from Arends closes out the Knights in the seventh and completes the sweep at home.
