Ospreys Walk-off on Seminoles Via Wild Pitch in Extras

North Florida Erases Deficit With Seven-Run Eighth, Win in Extras

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The first-ever meeting between North Florida (21-16) and Florida State (14-22) at Harmon Stadium did not disappoint and was nothing short of a roller coaster ride as the Ospreys walked off on the Seminoles in 10 innings, 15-14, Wednesday, April 19.

UNF stared down multiple deficits late in the game, with the last comeback finishing with a three-run bottom of the tenth as a wild pitch sent Cherokee Nichols across home for the winning run.

North Florida rallied for seven runs in the eighth, but FSU scratched across four in the top of the ninth. After falling behind in the tenth, Nichols tied the game with a two run double, then came in to score the winning run on a wild pitch as FSU sent its school-record 10th pitcher to the mound.
