JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - North Florida softball (19-15, 2-7 ASUN) suffered another heartbreaking one-run loss in extra innings against Jacksonville State (23-9, 9-0 ASUN) in the series finale on Sunday afternoon.
The Ospreys had a two-run lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but a two-out RBI double from JSU tied the game. In the ninth inning, the Gamecocks hit a leadoff home run, as UNF endured their fourth one-run loss over their past five games played.
Shannon Glover continued to play well from the plate with a two-run homer just minutes into the game. She now expands her lead on the team for most home runs this season with five total.

Behind the Line Score
- Ospreys didn't wait long to score their first runs of the game, as Glover blasted a two-run bomb to center to jump out to a 2-0 lead early.
- JSU responded when they crossed the plate with a triple and an RBI double to cut UNF's lead in half.
- Ashley Connor entered the game in relief for Izzy Kelly, inheriting two runners before coming out unscathed with back-to-back fly-outs.
- A solo home run from the Gamecocks in the bottom of the third tied the game up in the third.
