Softball Drops Road Heartbreaker at UCF

Harper Recorded Game-Tying Two-RBI-Single in Seventh

ORLANDO - After being held scoreless for six innings, North Florida softball (19-12) found its spark in the seventh to tie the game after a two RBI-single from Kayla Harper, but UCF (20-18) ended up walking it off, 3-2, on Wednesday evening.

The Ospreys let up two runs and were held to only one hit through the sixth, including back-to-back up-and-down innings entering the seventh. After a successful rally attempt in the seventh, the Knights stormed back with their bats hitting a leadoff triple and putting one in play to end the game.

Ashley Connor, Skyler Stockie and Izzy Kelly all saw time in the circle with over 30 pitches from each of them. Kelly struck out the side when she entered in the sixth, but took her second loss of the season after the unearned run scored in the seventh.
