JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball (6-15, 3-8 ASUN) ended their three-game home stand with a loss to Florida Gulf Coast (22-3, 10-1 ASUN), 106-51, on Saturday afternoon at UNF Arena.
The Ospreys were unable to stop the sharp shooting of the Eagles, as they went 37-for-63 (58.7%) from the field and 22-for-45 (48.9%) from three-point range on the day. UNF had some great individual performances with
Kaila Rougier and
Lyric Swann combining for 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, but couldn't find the offense needed to keep up with FGCU.

First Half: Sarah Taub put back her own miss off the glass to give the Ospreys their first points against the Eagles at the eight-minute mark...just moments later
Emma Broermann worked her way in the paint for a layup to keep it within one...
Elysa Wesolek worked some magic for a mid-range floater, but not before FGCU went on an 11-0 run...Taub made another jumper, followed by three straight from downtown for FGCU to end the quarter...
Maddie Millar made her first three in her second career game starting assisted by Taub...
Brianna Livingston made a fadeaway jumper from the free throw line to get her first action of the game...scored an and-one bucket to cut in the deficit going into the half.
Second Half: Lyric Swann opened the third period with back-to-back threes by
Lyric Swann and
Kaila Rougier from each corner...Rougier followed her three with a feed inside the paint to Broermann for two more...the Swann sisters both hit long shots from downtown in the final minute of the third period...Livingston drove in the lane to make a layup to give UNF their first score of the fourth quarter...Livingston and J. Swann made back-to-back layups, but ended up suffering their second loss of the home weekend to the Eagles.

- Rougier had the most minutes played with 32 total, while L. Swann and Taub had 31 minutes played.
