Women's Basketball Edged in Close Road Battle at Lipscomb

L. Swann Dropped 21 Points in Loss

NASHVILLE - After leading by as much as 14 points, North Florida women's basketball (6-17, 3-10 ASUN) suffered a heart-breaking loss in its rematch with Lipscomb (17-8, 11-2 ASUN), 78-73, on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Ospreys held a commanding lead for three quarters before stalling on offense to start the fourth. The score was tied with just over seven minutes left, but a 14-9 run to close the game gave the advantage to Lipscomb late.

COACH'S THOUGHTS

"We played with great intensity and execution for three quarters! In the fourth, we weren't efficient enough to sustain our momentum and they made plays down the stretch. We played well and have to take that momentum into our games next week!"
-- head coach Darrick Gibbs
