JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Coming off consecutive washed out matches against UCF and Mercer, North Florida women's soccer looks to get its first official match of September in the books when it heads to Athens, Ga., to take on Georgia Thursday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.
It's the first-ever meeting between UNF and Georgia and the second Power Five meeting on UNF's slate for the year.

MACON, Ga. - Unpredictable weather has been a theme throughout the first few weeks of the North Florida women's soccer season. That motif ensued Sunday night as UNF's match at Mercer was deemed a no contest after play was halted following an extended weather delay.
Scouting Report
Georgia is 4-2 thus far in its first year under head coach Keidane McAlpine … Georgia has tallied three-straight shutouts for the first time in eight years … during that stint, the Bulldogs have gone 3-0 and combined to outscore opponents, 11-0 … those matches came against Charleston, Georgia State and Kennesaw State … Georgia also defeated Georgia Southern, 4-0 … UGA's two losses have come against Florida State and Wake Forest … the Bulldogs are paced by the team-best three goals from Dani Murguia and Tori Penn … Madison Haugen has assisted on a team-high four goals … Liz Beardsley has logged 495 minutes in goal.
"Weather" or Not We'll Play
UNF has had every single match outside of the Miami match altered by the weather this year. The first two matches of the year either had a time, date or playing surface change. UNF and UCF was canceled due to rain and the UNF at Mercer match was suspended at halftime due to weather.
Six-Match Road Swing
UNF is in the midst of its longest road stint since 2011 … the Ospreys aren't back home until Sept. 29 against Kennesaw State … the Ospreys play Georgia Thursday and Winthrop Sunday to conclude non-conference play for the regular season … from there, UNF plays three in-state road matches at Jacksonville, FGCU and Stetson respectively.
