Clark Transitions to Academic Specialist & Compliance Coordinator Role, Semeniuk & Jean Join as Graduate Assistants
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Athletics' Student-Athlete Center for Excellence (SACE) announces a trio of additions to its staff, all of which possess previous experience with UNF Athletics as employees or student-athletes.
Charlsea Clark moves over from her role as assistant coach on the women's basketball staff and takes over as compliance coordinator and academic counselor, aiding with the efforts of SACE and the compliance office. Clark will work directly with the beach volleyball and swimming programs.
"I am extremely excited to transition to this new role and feel that my experience as a former collegiate athlete and coach will allow me to connect with coaches and student-athletes alike," Clark said. "I also am so grateful for this opportunity to continue being an Osprey as this is a special place with special people."
Former student-athletes Ryan Jean and Carleigh Semeniuk also join the staff as academic support graduate assistants.
"The SACE staff we have been able to put together is amazing," Assistant AD for the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence said. "We could not be happier to welcome Charlsea Clark to the staff. Her relationship building, vision for the future and welcoming spirit is a great addition to our team. Ryan and Carleigh are both former UNF student-athletes and are wonderful examples of what it means to be an Osprey."
Jean was a four-year letterwinner with the Ospreys, earning four ASUN Honor Roll awards as a left-handed pitcher for the UNF baseball team. The Ocoee, Fla., native graduated with a degree in finance and is working towards his master's degree. Statistically, Jean went 4-5 over 36 appearances, seeing time as a reliever and starting pitcher.
Semeniuk assumes her new role on the academic support side of things after an honor-filled four-year career with the North Florida beach volleyball program. The Whitby, Ontario, transferred into UNF prior to the 2019 season, coming to Jacksonville by way of Tulane University.
The four-year letterwinner was a 2021 ASUN Champion, two-time ASUN All-Conference selection and together with Lauren Galinis touts the most wins with the same playing partner of any duo in UNF history. Academically, she was a four-time ASUN Honor Roll student and all-academic selection, having earned her bachelor's in sport management and master's in educational leadership.
