
Nathan Jubran Named ASUN Male Student-Athlete of the Year

ATLANTA, Ga. - Nathan Jubran was awarded ASUN Male Student-Athlete of the Year honors as announced by the conference on Friday morning among other end-of-year award recipients.

Jubran is the first Osprey to collect this honor from the ASUN for the cross country and track and field program. He is also the first UNF athlete to receive an individual end-of-year award by the conference since Emily Kesterson earned the Postgraduate Scholarship from the conference while playing women's soccer in 2020.

"Nathan [Jubran] has continued to work hard in the classroom semester after semester," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "He is truly a student-athlete who has prepared himself well for a bright future."

The Jacksonville, Fla., native put together a fantastic senior season to complete an incredible career with North Florida. He holds school record times for the 8k and 10k runs in cross country, as well as the 5000m event for indoor track.

Jubran picked up his fifth career ASUN Runner of the Week this past October, while finishing the cross-country season as an All-ASUN First Team & All-South Region selections, along with ASUN & USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.

He had even more success during the indoor season with two First Team All-ASUN placements in both the 3000m and 5000m, including a ASUN meet record time in the 5000m. He garnered the ASUN's Most Outstanding Men's Athlete and Scholar-Athlete of the Year for indoor track after his championship performance.

During outdoor season, he ranked No. 77 on the men's outdoor 10,000m on NCAA East Outdoor qualifying list and was awarded a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Men's XCTF team. He was also awarded the UNF Male-Scholar Athlete of the Year for a fourth consecutive year after earning his degree in psychology with a 3.99 cumulative GPA.
