All Programs Exceed NCAA APR Requirements, 15 Programs Post Perfect Single-Year Marks
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Athletics is proud to announce impressive totals for its 2020-21 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) report. All 17 of North Florida's programs exceeded the required multi-year score of 930.
All programs achieved at least a mark of 980. To boot, 15 of UNF's 17 programs posted a perfect '1,000' 2020-21 single-year mark. Seven programs registered perfect multi-year rates.
The most recent report includes APR numbers for the 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 academic years.
The APR takes into account graduation rates as well as eligibility and retention of student-athletes.
What is the APR?
The APR system includes rewards for superior academic performance and penalties for teams that do not achieve certain academic benchmarks. Data collection occurs annually, and results are announced in the spring. (from the APR)
