Total of 120 Student-Athletes Make Dean’s List, 22-Straight Semesters With Over 3.0 GPA
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For the 22nd-straight semester, North Florida Athletics' student-athletes combined to post over a 3.0 department-wide grade point average (GPA), doing so with flying colors at a 3.46 GPA as announced by the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence (SACE).
The 3.46 mark is an improvement from the already impressive tally of 3.41 posted during the fall 2021 semester.
"It is exciting to see our student-athletes have another academically excellent semester," Assistant AD of the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence Jenny Barth said. "The numbers reflect the strong academic culture that the UNF coaches continue to recruit new student-athletes to be a part of. It has been a joy to watch the hard work of the student-athletes pay off with having all teams with a 3.0 or above and over 70% of our student-athlete population with a GPA of 3.0 or higher."
Quick Facts
For the second-straight semester, men's tennis tallied the highest men's team GPA with a 3.45. Women's golf posted an incredible 3.76 team GPA to lead all women's programs.
For the 21-22 competition year, 15 Ospreys earned ASUN All-Academic recognition, while two earned two ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors.
Additionally, five Ospreys in Carter Hendricksen, Jazz Bond, Gabby O'Connell, Brock Edge and Paige Pfent earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District honors.
