JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (39-14, 16-7 ASUN) fell just short in both games of a doubleheader against Liberty (37-14, 20-0 ASUN) on Senior Day Saturday, April 30 from the UNF Softball Complex.
It was the first time that UNF has played the Flames since taking them down in the semifinals of the ASUN Tournament during the 2019 postseason.
The Ospreys hosted a sellout crowd for its final doubleheader slate of the regular season with 376 fans in attendance on Saturday afternoon. They honored 10 seniors in between the pair of games, including five players that have been with the program for four years or longer.
With her appearances in the doubleheader this afternoon,
Kayla McGory become the program's D-I era leader for most games played in an Osprey uniform. She has played 218 total games during her six-year tenure with UNF and also holds the record for most games started as well with 215 total.

Morgan Clausen limited the Flames to four hits and one run in a complete-game performance, but the bats couldn't find a spark in only UNF's second scoreless game of the season.

Behind the Line Score
- The Ospreys showed defense early on with
Shannon Glover making a running catch near the warning track to prevent extra bases.
- UNF had action on the bases in the first, but left them stranded to end the inning.
- Clausen showed her stuff in the circle with a pair of strikeouts in the second to hold off the Flames.
- In the fourth inning, Clausen brought her strikeout count to six to keep the game scoreless.
- Liberty had a chance to score in the fifth with a runner on third, but a groundout to
Savannah Channell kept things moving with neither team yet on the board.
- The Flames were finally able to get to Clausen after an RBI-double sent home a run to make it a 1-0 game.
- Clausen stayed in the game to force a three up, three down inning, but the offense couldn't find that first run in the seventh.

Erin Kyle came out strong in the circle after striking out the final batter in the first.
- UNF had a chance to make a statement early with the bases loaded, but the Flames secured the flyout to stay scoreless.
- There was another opportunity for the Ospreys to score with a pair of runners on base, but another flyout ended the second inning.
- Liberty put the first runs on the board after they parlayed three hits into two scores in the third inning.
