Softball Drops Twin Bill Against Liberty

First Conference Games Against the Flames Since 2019

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (39-14, 16-7 ASUN) fell just short in both games of a doubleheader against Liberty (37-14, 20-0 ASUN) on Senior Day Saturday, April 30 from the UNF Softball Complex.

It was the first time that UNF has played the Flames since taking them down in the semifinals of the ASUN Tournament during the 2019 postseason.

The Ospreys hosted a sellout crowd for its final doubleheader slate of the regular season with 376 fans in attendance on Saturday afternoon. They honored 10 seniors in between the pair of games, including five players that have been with the program for four years or longer.

With her appearances in the doubleheader this afternoon, Kayla McGory become the program's D-I era leader for most games played in an Osprey uniform. She has played 218 total games during her six-year tenure with UNF and also holds the record for most games started as well with 215 total.

GAME 1 | LU 1, UNF 0

- Clausen stayed in the game to force a three up, three down inning, but the offense couldn't find that first run in the seventh.
