DELAND, Fla. - Presented with his first weekend start as an Osprey, southpaw
Peter Holden capitalized on the opportunity, hurling eight innings of two-run ball to aid UNF in a twin bill split at Stetson (16-11, 4-5 ASUN) Sunday, April 3.
Holden's outing featured a UNF-career-best eight punchouts across 105 pitches as the Ospreys (10-19, 2-7 ASUN) upended Stetson, 6-2, in the first of two games in DeLand.
It was Stetson's turn in game two though, as Hatter righty Cole Stallings had all of his pitches working in a 3-0 shutout win for the hosts in the seven-inning series finale.
