DeLAND, Fla. - North Florida softball (39-12, 16-5 ASUN) was close to putting together a comeback after being down by four runs in the fourth inning, but it couldn't extend its ASUN-winning streak to 12 games following a 5-3 loss against Stetson (20-28, 9-9 ASUN) Sunday afternoon.
A grand-slam home run in the fourth inning for Stetson opened up a scoreless game to that point. UNF was able to get three runs back in the fifth, but fell short in the end to lose their first conference game in the month of April.
Kayla Harper had two hits for the second time this series and for the third time in four games.
Shannon Glover also continues to rake after picking up her fourth consecutive game with a hit.
