JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (34-11, 13-4 ASUN) took both games in the doubleheader against Kennesaw State (12-24, 4-10 ASUN), doing so in dramatic fashion at the UNF Softball Complex.
Hayley Bejarano hit an RBI-single just inside the right field line to secure the Friday sweep against the Owls, giving UNF an 8-7 win in game two.
Halle Arends took care off business in the circle for the first game, leading the Ospreys to a 4-1 win.
Morgan Clausen, who recorded her fifth save of the season in the first game, also pitched her way to her 11th win of the season in the second game with a relief appearance that went in extra innings.
The Ospreys set a couple program marks in the second matchup, as they matched their team single-game D-I record for most drawn walks with 10 total.
Kayla Harper and
Savannah Channell also drew four walks each in the second game, which is good for matching the individual DI record for a single game.

An early three-run burst in the first inning gave Arends enough of a cushion to secure her 15th win of the year, as well as Clausen's fifth save.

Behind the Line Score
- The Ospreys found their spark early in the first inning with a single from
Shannon Glover with the bases loaded to send home a runner.
- Channell brought in another run on a groundout, followed by
Abi Annett reaching on a fielding error to bring in another run for a 3-0 lead in the first.
- Arends' got herself out of a jam in the third with a strikeout to end the inning with a pair of runners in scoring position.
- She came back out in the fourth inning to strike out the side, which gave her five strikeouts over her last six outs.
- Arends gave up a single in the fifth that brought home the Owls' first run of the day to cut the lead to two runs.
- Clausen came in relief with the bases loaded, but it only took one pitch to get out of that jam to end the inning.
- Harper was able to get the run back after scoring on a passed ball to go up 4-1.
- Clausen ended the game with three straight strikeouts to notch her fifth save of the season and secure the Ospreys' seventh-straight conference victory.

Behind the Line Score
- The Owls were the ones to strike first in the second game after a single set up a two-run home run just inside the left field foul pole in the first.
- Glover cut the deficit to one with an RBI-single up the middle. Channell followed with a two-RBI single to give UNF the 3-2 lead.

Erin Kyle started to find her groove retiring eight straight retired batters after letting up the home run in the first.

Regan Hermeling shot one up the middle in the third to bring home another run and extend the lead to two.
- The Owls cut the lead to one run after they hit one down the right field line, but Arends came in relief to limit the damage in the inning.
- The Ospreys went back up two runs in the fourth after Glover hit an single to left field to send home Harper.
- Another run was scored in the fifth after a throwing error brought home
Brittany Sundermeier to make the score 6-3.
- Bejarano brought in another run for insurance after her deep drive to center field scored Channell from first to put UNF up four.
- KSU made a late push with their backs against the wall, scoring four in the seventh to tie the game.
- After the Ospreys failed to bring home Harper from third base in the seventh, Bejarano got the job done once again to bring in Channell and record her second walk-off hit of the season.
