Behind the Line Score
  • Jacksonville State scratched across a pair of runs on two hits in the first inning, taking a 2-0 lead.
  • That advantage didn't last long as Shannon Glover launched a game-tying two-run home run to left field in the second. Glover took a letter-high pitch over the wall, scoring Regan Hermeling.
  • After both pitchers settled in, Savannah Channell broke the deadlock with her own two-run home run in the fourth inning, her first roundtripper as an Osprey.
  • Morgan Clausen stranded a pair of runners, coaxing an inning-ending fly out to center to keep runners at second and third in the fourth.
  • Jacksonville State was pesky in the sixth, tying the game up thanks to a two-out RBI infield single and bases loaded walk.
  • JSU walked off in the bottom of the eighth. After Abi Annett doubled up a runner at first on a popped up bunt, the Gamecocks reached on an infield single and stole second. A single through the left side sent the runner home and just under the tag of Paige Pfent at the plate.
