Softball Opens Home ASUN Play With Pair of Wins Against Lipscomb

McGory, Annett Record Three-Hit Games in Doubleheader

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball (25-6, 4-1) had major offensive performances highlight its day against Lipscomb (9-17, 0-2) as the Ospreys swept the Bisons Saturday with 5-2 and 9-1 wins March 19.

The Ospreys have now won 17 of their last 18 games with 12 of them being shutouts and three of them being run-ruled wins. They are also 4-1 to start conference play, which leads the ASUN after the slate of games within the conference this afternoon. The Ospreys are now 20-2 at home on the year.

This is the third time for UNF in the last four games that they've had three batters record multiple hits in the same game, while it is also the third consecutive game that an Osprey hitter has gone for three hits in a game. The work in the circle also impressed with Halle Arends picking up her conference-leading 12th win of the season and Erin Kyle spinning a complete-game victory with only two hits allowed.
