FORT MYERS, Fla. - North Florida swimming closed out its final day of competition at the FGCU dual Saturday, Feb. 5. This weekend's competition in Fort Myers marked the final event prior to the CCSA Championships later this month.

McKenna Fiore clocked in a time of 5:21.71 in the 500 free to earn her first top-three finish of the spring season.

Annie Fletcher found herself finishing in the top two again, as she notched a time of 2:06.51 to place second in the 200 back ... she adds this top-two finish to her win on Friday in the 100 back.

Ryan Showfety swam right behind Fletcher in the 200 back and finished third with a time of 2:07.54.

Makenzie Blaakman had another great day in the pool as well with a third-place finish in the 200 IM at 2:12.84.
- Other top individual swimmers for UNF on Saturday included
Isabella Giresi in the 200 breast (2:28.18),
Gabriella Reeves in the 100 fly (1:00.08), and
Ashley Cozad in the 100 free (52.93).

Marcia Shaw and
Ashley Kephart, as well as Cozad and Reeves, teamed up in the last race of the day to put together a third-place performance in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:37.81.
- The Ospreys finish the meet with one first-place finish and seven swimmers placing within the top three of their events.
