JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF men's tennis plays its first matches outside the Sunshine State when it goes to the Carolinas for two contests this weekend. North Florida and UNC Asheville go head-to-head Saturday before UNF faces its third ACC opponent in Clemson Sunday afternoon.

Saturday's match against UNC Asheville will be played three courts at a time. It will also be indoors. UNF's meeting with the Bulldogs will not be streamed. 

The weekend finale at Clemson will be streamed and live stats links will be available.

Series History
North Florida is facing new opponents in UNC Asheville and Clemson … the Ospreys have never played the Bulldogs … the same can be said for UNF and Clemson.

Scouting Report
UNC Asheville: UNCA has won all three of its matches at home this season … North Carolina Asheville defeated NC Central Jan. 29 in its only match against a Division I foe at home … the Bulldogs went 8-6 overall and 4-2 a year ago …  Jon Brann Reid, Harry Thursfield and Leo Bierbaum return as Big South All-Conference performers a year ago.

Clemson: Clemson is 4-2 through the first six matches of the spring season … the Tigers are coming off a 7-0 loss against South Carolina Feb. 4 … Clemson picked up wins against William & Mary, ETSU, Wofford and Furman … Clemson also dropped a contest against Miami … Clemson was 10-14 overall and 2-10 in ACC play during the 2021 season … head coach Robbie Weiss is in his third season as the head coach at Clemson.

• UNF is 1-3 to start the year, having played a tough schedule that has included contests against Florida State, Miami, Charleston and South Florida. 
• The Ospreys swept Charleston, 7-0, in the team's lone win this season.
• Jonas Hartenstein has been a bright spot for UNF in the early going, putting up a 3-1 singles record that has included a 2-0 mark at the second singles slot. 
• UNF newcomer Bruno Vietri nabbed his first singles win as an Osprey during the win against Charleston.

UNF gets a reprieve from road play beginning Feb. 20 with a home match against Georgia Southern … North Florida stays at home for three more home matches, including contests against SC State, UNC Wilmington and South Alabama.
