GAINESVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis started off the first day of its final fall invite with a trio of wins, two of which came against Power Five opponents, while the other came in a singles match against UCF at the Gators Invite Friday, Nov. 4.
Jonas Hartenstein defeated Bogdan Pavel of UCF in straight sets, while the Ospreys went for two Power Five wins in doubles play.
Hartenstein and
Rodrigo Crespo posted a convincing 8-2 win against the split squad of Will Grant (Florida) and Connor Krug (Duke).
Breno Marques and Patrick Kotan followed with an 8-5 victory against Leonard Bierbaum and Franco Aubone of Miami.
All told, each of UNF's four competitors at the Gators Invite earned at least one win. Day two of the invitational continues tomorrow.
