CHARLOTTE, N.C. - North Florida men's soccer (2-6-1, 1-2-0 ASUN) made plays on both sides of the ball to secure its first ASUN victory, 1-0, at Queens (1-8-0, 0-3-0 ASUN) on Monday evening.
Zach Board made the highlight header goal in the 50th minute off the corner kick that scorched into the box from
Herbie Steigelman. The defense stood tall for the remaining 40 minutes, which included a diving save by
Micah Gun on a Queens' free kick in the closing minutes of the match.
The 1-0 win against the Royals marked the first time since 2016 that the Ospreys were the first ones to score in each of their past three games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the opening minutes of the match, Queens put a head on a free kick opportunity outside the box, but Gun made the diving save to keep it scoreless.
- UNF had its first shot in the 12th minute after Owen Cunha stole the ball and crossed it in the box to set up Angus Taylor, but the attempt was blocked and kicked out of play.
- Just moments later, Queens took a long shot at goal well beyond the box, but Gun was able to handle the rocket.
- Bendeguz Burka got off the first shot on goal for the Ospreys, but it was saved by Queens in the 25th minute.
- With just under 10 minutes left in the first half, Steigelman sent a cross into the box, but the Queens' keeper was able to get his hands on it first.
- Just five minutes into the second half, Steigelman sent a corner into the box and Board delivered on the header to give the Ospreys a 1-0 lead.
- Queens found themselves with a couple shots on goal in the 61st minute, but Gun was able to secure them to maintain the one-goal lead.
- The Royals struck again with multiple shots in the 77th minute, but the deflections were made to deny an equalizing goal.
- Gun made another crucial save in the 82nd minute with his second diving stop of the match after a free kick was awarded just outside the box.
- UNF held tight for the final minutes of the match to secure their first ASUN win of the season.
