Ospreys 3-0 for the First Time Since 2016
BOCA RATON, Fla. - North Florida volleyball (3-0) got a little bit from everyone while hitting .311 as a team in a 3-0 sweep of Stony Brook (0-3) Saturday, Aug. 28, completing a perfect weekend at FAU.
The Ospreys are FAU Tournament champions for the second time in three trips down to Boca Raton. UNF visited in 2018 and won the tournament in 2016.

- Set 1: Stony Brook had the advantage early, jumping out to a 7-2 lead … Dariana Hollingsworth-Santana had a key kill to stop the bleeding, fueling a run … a pair of aces, a Maddie Boyd kill and another from Hollingsworth-Santana put UNF ahead, 12-11 … the Ospreys turned in a 5-1 run that was followed by a Stony Brook 5-2 run … Gabby O'Connell and Hollingsworth-Santana posted important kills down the stretch.
- Set 2: It was a UNF block party to start the second set … North Florida jumped out to a 5-1 lead … the Ospreys posted 10 kills before suffering an attack error, riding out a Rocio Moro serving run to close the second frame.
- Set 3: The Sea Wolves started out strong in the third, with UNF taking its first lead at 10-9 … teams traded blows late in the session … the set saw 10 tie scores and five lead changes … down 24-25, UNF won four of the next five points … Kailey McKnight, O'Connell and Cestero all chipped in with three kills in the third set … Hollingsworth-Santana posted four kills and seven digs.
