JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Round one of the non-conference tournaments kicks off the fall 2021 season as the Ospreys play Wofford, Florida Atlantic and Stony Brook in Boca Raton for the FAU Tournament August 27-28.

UNF is coming off its first semifinals appearance in the ASUN Championship since 2012 ... the Ospreys went 10-10 and 8-4 in league play, the program's best winning percentage in league history ... UNF's RPI reached as high as 87, just a year after finishing 257th in the country.

UNF is playing its first-ever matches against two of the opponents, Wofford and Stony Brook ... this is the 13th meeting between North Florida and FAU ... the last time these two teams faced each other was in 2018 when the Ospreys defeated the Owls in Boca Raton.

Dariana Hollingsworth-Santana was tabbed to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference team as well ... North Florida was selected to finish fourth in the ASUN per the preseason coaches poll ... North Florida welcomes three true freshmen and one graduate transfer ... freshmen Annie Antar, Amy Burkhardt and Anna Butler all don the Navy and Gray for the first time as true freshmen ... Hollingsworth-Santana comes to Jacksonville as a graduate transfer after earning four letters at Mizzou ... she was an all-SEC performer and helped lead the Tigers to multiple NCAA Championship Appearances ... in June, Gabby O'Connell became the first Osprey to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team in the program's Division I era.

Wofford is coming off a 10-7 spring 2021 season in which it went 10-6 in the SoCon ... head coach Lynze Roos is in her seventh season ... All-SoCon Freshman performers Sarah Barham and Emily Hodson return ... FAU went 2-12 last year and 2-10 in C-USA matches ... the Owls are led by Fernanda Nelson in her 10th season with FAU ...
