FORT MYERS, Fla. - UNF men's tennis (6-11, 2-4 ASUN) came up short in the ASUN regular season finale at FGCU (6-5, 5-1 ASUN) Saturday, April 10, falling 5-2.
How it Happened
FGCU got out to an early lead via 6-3 wins at the first and third doubles slots.
Dominik Barton and
Rodrigo Crespo led 5-3 at the second flight before it was left unfinished.
The Eagles added two more points to go ahead 3-0 as the Ospreys couldn't overcome the early deficit.
Three courts went to three sets, with the Ospreys earning both of their points in three-set affairs.
PJ Kotan improved to 7-7 on the season by outlasting Gugli Stefanacci, 6-3, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (12-10), in an up-and-down 10-point tiebreaker.
Crespo got his second win of the week with a 4-6, 6-0, 7-6 (7-2) triumph against Max Damm at the fifth position.
