JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - In a season series that has seen matches well over two hours long, UNF (10-9) needed only 90 minutes to sweep its way past Stetson (6-8) in the ASUN Quarterfinals Saturday, March 27.

This is the first meeting between the two teams this season as the ASUN was divided into north and south divisions … UNF trails the Bisons 3-24 in the all-time series … the Ospreys last picked up a win against Lipscomb October 19, 2012 … these two teams met in the 2018 ASUN Volleyball Championship Quarterfinals with the Bisons winning, 3-1.

The Ospreys are peaking at the right time statistically, tallying some of their best numbers during the month of March … UNF is 5-2 during March …North Florida has posted month-best marks in kills/set (13.89), attack percentage (.219), assists/set (12.96) and digs/set (17.11) … North Florida has held opponents to .175 hitting during March while posting a .219 attack percentage.

The spring season has been a big one for milestones … Julianna Askew surpassed 2,000-career assists in Saturday's win against Stetson … the sophomore becomes just the eighth in program history to reach that mark … Solimar Cestero became the seventh Osprey in the program's DI days to eclipse 800 kills … earlier this season Gabby O'Connell joined the 1,000-kill and 1,000-dig club … Rocio Moro also joined the 1,000-dig club.
