BOCA RATON, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis (6-4) secured the win over Florida Atlantic (4-3) after Ana Paula Melilo got the victory on court three in three sets. 

In doubles, Florida Atlantic's Katerina Filip and Radka Buzkova downed Valentina Mariotto and Sean Lodzki on court three, 6-2.

The Ospreys answered back in the one slot, extending Catherine Gulihur and Ana Paula Melilo's win streak to seven. The pair defeated Natalia Boltinskaya and Louie McLelland, 6-3.

Lucia Montano and Constanza Gorches secured the doubles point, edging Martina Kudelova and May Kimhi, 7-5, on court two.

The Owls picked up the first singles point with a 6-4, 6-2, win on court six against Summer Yardley. FAU took a 2-1 lead after defeating Mariotto on court five, 6-1, 7-5. 

Gulihur evened the score with a win in the two slot for the Ospreys. She downed Kudelova, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). Florida Atlantic pulled ahead once again with a win on court one.

Gorches tied the match 3-3, with a 7-5, 6-0 victory against McLelland on court four. Melilo fought hard on court three to secure the win for the Ospreys against Filip. The junior lost the first set 5-7 and came back 6-4 to force the third set. Melilo won the third set, 6-2, earning North Florida's fifth win against the Owls. 

UNF hosts South Alabama Sunday, March 7 in their first home match since the beginning of February.
