JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF volleyball opens the second half of ASUN play with two matches at Florida Gulf Coast. North Florida and FGCU will play Saturday and Sunday at Alico Arena in Fort Myers. 

This weekend marks the final road games for UNF in the regular season.

1. Last Time Out
DeLAND, Fla. - UNF volleyball's three-match winning streak was snapped Friday night at Stetson in a 3-0 loss to the Hatters (2-3, 1-3 ASUN). 

2. Series History
These matches will be meeting number 33 and 34 between the two teams and the 27th and 28th as ASUN opponents … UNF and FGCU split a pair of matches last month … UNF won 3-1 before FGCU swept the second meeting.

3. Down, But Not Out
UNF broke a four-match losing streak to Stetson with a 3-2 comeback win in DeLand Thursday, Feb. 25 … a number of notables came from that match … Gabby O'Connell notched her 35th career double-double and set a career high with 24 digs … North Florida put up 14 blocks in that match and 23 between the two meetings with Stetson last week … Julianna Askew posted her fifth double-double of the season and 12th of her career … Maddie Boyd tied a career high with eight blocks … Solimar Cestero surpassed 700 kills and 2,000 attacks for her career.

4. Defense!
Sophomore libero Rocio Moro has picked up two ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors this year and seven ASUN weekly awards for her career … she's first in the ASUN in digs, 25th nationally … Moro is second in the league in digs per set, good for 19th in the nation … Osprey middles Bre Walp and Maddie Boyd are also coming up big defensively, doing there work at the net … Walp and Boyd are tied for the lead league in blocks.

5. Scouting Report
FGCU is 7-1 and 5-1 in the ASUN South Division, one game ahead of UNF … the Eagles are on a five-match winning streak after sweeping Jacksonville and Stetson respectively … Erin Shomaker ranks first in the league in aces per set and 28th nationally with 0.62 … outsider hitter Cortney VanLiew is 14th in NCAA DI in attacks per set with 12.33 and 22nd in the country for kills per set with 4.52.
