Athletics & Gravity Diagnostics Celebrate Partnership

JACKSONVILLE – The University of North Florida Department of Athletics and Gravity Diagnostics have recently expanded a partnership started a year ago.
Gravity Diagnostics, based in Covington, Kentucky, serves as the Ospreys COVID-19 testing provider allowing UNF to continue its safe return to competition during the 2020-21 season. Providing fast and reliable Gold Standard PCR testing, Gravity Diagnostics also serves as the testing provider for the University of North Florida health services and the ASUN Conference.
During North Florida's recently completed "Giving Day" initiative, Gravity Diagnostics made a significant donation to the Osprey Club Annual Fund. Plans for the donation include purchasing recovery equipment for Sports Performance, which benefits the health and welfare of all UNF student-athletes, and a portion of the donation will provide additional funding for athletic scholarship efforts.
"It has been unbelievably fulfilling to work directly with UNF to ensure the student athletes were able to safely conduct their team sports during all phases of the pandemic," said Julie Brazil, Co-Founder and COO for Gravity Diagnostics. "All of us at Gravity have taken a personal interest in ensuring we are able to provide the turnaround time required for gold standard PCR testing to support and make a positive impact on the proactive plan initiated by the leadership at UNF during the early stages of the pandemic. I could not be prouder that the collaboration between my alma mater and company became a blueprint that was rolled out at many other universities across the nation. The stewardship that UNF displayed regarding the safety of their students during such a difficult time is a testament of their ethics and values. It has been absolutely incredible to be a small part of their response."
