JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball needed just one run to take the game against Jacksonville in the Sunday matchup for the conclusion of the three-game home series.

How it Happened
- It was a pitchers duel for most of the game as Whitty allowed just two hits in her complete game for Jacksonville and Arends had five hits with two strikeouts.
- Jacksonville stranded six runners, while UNF left just two aboard.
- North Florida scored its run in the bottom of the third and despite recording three errors, the Ospreys completed key plays including two outs at the plate.
- In the third, Brittany Sundermeier reached on a one-out fielder's choice before coming around on a deep single from Taylor Engman for the game-winning run.
- The Dolphins' best chance to score came in the top of the fourth as they loaded the bases on four hits, but a final fly out ended the chance.
Notes
- Engman was the only Osprey to record a hit. Kayla McGory earned the team's only walk.
- Morgan Clausen started the game and went 3.0 innings with three strikeouts, two hits and one walk. Arends came in to get the relief with two strikeouts and five hits surrendered.

North Florida hosts UCF Wednesday for a doubleheader at 4 p.m. The two teams met earlier this season with the Knights taking an 8-0 win in six innings.
