JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball snagged an upset victory in walk off fashion, 9-7 against No. 20 UCF in game one. The Knights topped UNF, 9-1 in six innings in the second game.

How it Happened
- The Ospreys got on the board with an RBI double from Ashley Goebel. With Goebel on second, Sundermeier walked for two on and two outs. Paige Pfent then pinch hit and it paid off as she slammed a homer to left field to make it a 4-0 game.
- A one-out grounder allowed UCF to score to make it 4-1 in the top of the third.
- The Knights then added two more on their own home run from Karissa Ornelas for a 4-3 game.
- It was short lived as North Florida created distance when Paige Pfent hit her second home run of the game to bring in three more runs for a 6-3 lead.
- The tables turned and UCF took the lead with a run in the fifth and a three-run sixth made it 7-6 for the visitors.
- In the Ospreys side of the seventh, Kayla McGory singled before Logan Jackson had a one-out single for two on. Rebecca Koskey then came to the plate and blasted a three-run bomb to win the game for UNF.
Notes
- Izzy Kelly got the start for the Ospreys going 3.2 innings with four hits, three earned runs and two walks. Arends tossed 3.0 innings, surrendering five hits, three runs, two walks and striking out two.
- Jackson was 3-for-4, while Pfent tallied five RBI.
- North Florida recorded three home runs for the first time since 2019 when it set the program record at Lipscomb.

How it Happened
- McGory scored the lone run of the game on a longball over the left field fence.
- From there, the game turned to the Knights.
- UCF rattled off 12 hits and scattered nine runs over five innings to win 9-1.
- North Florida left runners on second in the third, fourth and sixth innings but could never convert.
Notes
- North Florida had four hits and two walks.
- Dhyr had two strikeouts in the loss in 4.2 innings of work. Skyler Stockie came in relief in for 1.1 innings.
- For UCF, Jada Cody was 4-for-4 in game two with four funs scored.
