JACKSONVILLE - In a much different story than Saturday's meeting against Liberty, North Florida women's basketball battled back from a 10-point deficit to sweep the series with a 68-67 win Sunday at UNF Arena.
Sophomore
Emma Broermann, who struggled with free throws in the first meeting, came back to go 3-for-4 from the line and secure the sweep for the Ospreys and move to a tie for second with the Flames in the ASUN standings. Broermann finished with seven points and four rebounds.
Ospreys of the Game
Quote from the Top
"I really love this team's fight and grit. This game was very different from yesterday. Liberty did a great job controlling the game and taking away some of our obvious reads. I love how my team adjusted and executed to create the advantages we needed. I the end we found a way to make a couple more plays than they did on both ends. This was a great weekend of two good teams going at it. Really proud of how my team responded.." - Head Coach
Darrick Gibbs
