Wright's Words
"I'm proud of our grit and fight. Stetson plays a different style of volleyball and it's good for us to face. We had to make defensive adjustments. Stetson started out hitting .302 and we were able to hold them under .100 in the last three sets. Our defense fuels our offense and we were able to improve our own attack through that. Early on this year we lost a few five set matches with match points in our hands, and we improved tremendously in execution in set five. We need that and it's incredibly important that we come with a hunger and start like we finished tonight. It's not easy to go on the road and do what we did. I was impressed with senior Mimi (Miriam) Stingl, who came off the bench and had eight kills on 25 swings with zero errors. She chipped in with three blocks and four digs, and that depth is critical in these back-to-back nights."
