JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF volleyball goes to Jacksonville Saturday and Sunday for matches against the Dolphins.
Admission is free and is also on a first come, first serve basis until capacity according to Swisher Gymnasium COVID-19 regulations is reached.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF volleyball (2-6, 1-1 ASUN) couldn't complete the two-match sweep as the visiting FGCU Eagles (3-1, 1-1 ASUN) took Monday's match, 3-0.

North Florida leads the all-time series 22-17 … this will be meeting 26 and 27 in conference play … North Florida is 8-10 at Jacksonville … UNF has won four of the last five matches against Jacksonville … the Ospreys downed JU 3-2 and 3-1 last season.

Gabby O'Connell became the fourth player in UNF DI history to surpass the 1,000-kill milestone after putting up 18 kills against Clemson Feb. 12 … two days later she passed Taryn Griffey for third all-time in UNF DI history for kills … she also surpassed 3,000-career attack attempts and added double-double number 34 to her career ledger with a 15-kill and 15-dig day in the 3-1 win against FGCU.
4. ASUN Defensive Player of the Week
Sophomore libero
Rocio Moro picked up her sixth career weekly award and second career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week award Tuesday, Feb. 16 … Moro put up 5.20 digs/set over 15 sets last week, helping UNF sweep Georgia Southern, defeat FGCU and push Clemson to five sets … she leads the league in digs and is second in digs per set … she also reached 800 career digs Monday.
5. Scouting Report
Jacksonville enters play 2-2, with all four meetings being non-conference affairs … JU swept Georgia Southern, defeated FIU in five sets, but was swept by Davidson and UCF … the Dolphins are eighth in the league in kills per set, eighth in assists per set and second in digs per set at 14.93 … Maggie Couture is in her first season as head coach … she was previously the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Ohio University … JU was picked seventh in the ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll.
