INSIDE THE LANES: Ospreys Return to Action with First Road Swim of Season

JACKSONVILLE - North Florida swimming makes its annual appearance at the Florida State quad meet on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. The Ospreys will compete against the host Seminoles as well as West Florida and Florida Southern.

Saturday's meet marks the first road meet of the season for the Ospreys
Last time out the Ospreys earned several first-place finishes: Taylor Warren (100 Back) | Esther Quackenbush (100 Fly) | Ashley Cozad (200 Fly) | 400 Medley Relay (Warren, Lexi Calder, Allie Larrimore, Cozad)
ALL-TIME SERIES: 4-1 vs Florida Southern including a two meet win streak (Last met: 11/9/19 at FSU Quad) | 1-4 vs West Florida including a 4-match skid (Last met: 11/9/19 at FSU Quad) | 0-7 vs Florida State with 6 of 7 meets taking place at FSU (Last met: 1/27/21 in Tallahassee)
North Florida returns 15 swimmers from last year's squad and welcomes a group of 12 freshmen to this year's team
Head coach Ian Coffey is in his 8th season at the helm of the Osprey program
Following the FSU meet, UNF will wrap up the 2021 portion of its schedule at the FGCU Invitational on Nov. 18-20

"This is an annual meet we really look forward to. It’s been a few weeks since we swam in a meet and the team is excited to get back to racing. Saturday will get us going as we head into the middle of the season. Florida State is a very good ACC team and we need to step up with them. West Florida and Florida Southern each will be challenging."
