GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Dominik Barton made UNF men's tennis history after advancing to the ITA Southeast Regional Singles Semifinals Sunday, Oct. 24.

The run marks the furthest an Osprey has gone in at least the UNF DI-era.

The Koprivnice, Czech Republic, native cruised past UCF's JC Roddick in the main singles draw quarterfinals, winning 6-1, 6-2. Barton had his historic run come to a close in the semifinals against No. 31 Andres Martin of Georgia Tech.

Jonas Hartenstein also concluded his ITA Southeast Regionals competition on day four in the singles backdraw quarterfinals.

Barton picked up four wins against opponents from Power Five schools, including Georgia, Georgia Tech and Miami.

On three occasions UNF has had doubles teams reach the ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Semifinals, doing so in 2016, 2015 and 2014.

Barton previously made the round of 16 in the 2018 ITA Southeast Regionals, as did Norbert Nemscek in the 2013 ITA Southeast Regionals.
