Volleyball Dispatches Bellarmine in First-Ever Meeting

Ospreys Improve to 9-1 at Home and 7-2 in ASUN Play
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Ospreys played all 17 listed on the roster while holding Bellarmine (6-15, 2-7 ASUN) to .070 on the attack as North Florida volleyball (18-3, 7-2 ASUN) picked up a 3-1 win to open ASUN Crossover play Friday, Oct. 22 from the UNF Arena.
UNF improves to 9-1 in home matches and 18-3 overall behind a 10-block effort from a plethora of contributors.
Four Ospreys posted at least six kills, paced by Solimar Cestero's 13 kills on .440 hitting. Annie Antar lit up the service line early with three straight aces and Anna Butler showed up with five blocks.

- Set 1: Aces opened up UNF's big early lead … Annie Antar dropped in three in a row to give the Ospreys a 5-0 advantage that it never let go of … North Florida hit .406 while holding the Knights to .074 on the attack.
- Set 2: Bellarmine took its first lead of the night at 10-9 in the second session … despite a late Ospreys push, the Knights held off.Â
- Set 3: Maddie Boyd came up clutch down the stretch, hitting 1.000 for four kills and UNF outblocked Bellarmine, 3-0, to take a key third frame … back-to-back challenges went in UNF's favor during a middle-set run.
- Set 4: A 3-0 start set the tone for the final frame as UNF shut the door … Grace Peterson and Jessica Buis appeared in their first match of the month while Lachelle Sikes made her UNF debut … a fun finish to the match saw Peterson notch a pair of blocks and Cestero tally five kills.
