Coach Lucas' Comments
"First off, thank you to FSU for doing a tremendous job with the COVID protocols. It was an absolutely safe environment. As far as the match goes, we started really strong in the doubles with breaks on all three courts. Unfortunately we weren't able to sustain that and the rust of not competing together for so long showed. After squandering what I thought should have been our doubles point we were very timid and on our heels in singles. We were able to make some adjustments and found a little moment where we could have turned the match around. But, again in those crucial moments we didn't play with enough belief and confidence. It's a learing experience for the guys hopefully and moving forward I want us to go after it and take those opportunities. We're looking forward to some great training the next two weeks before our next match. SWOOP!"
